As these are natural stone, they may differ in size and appearance from those pictured and have varying amounts of flash. These pieces exhibit both "confetti" aventurescence and moonstone "flash" (see mineralogy section below for details).
Please note, this material differs from the 'confetti sunstone' on the market because that material is from India, and this material is from one mine in Australia - the trade name 'Eclipsite' was coined by my supplier.

“Where the sun and moon become one” This sunstone & moonstone combo is found alongside rainbow lattice in the Utnerrengatye (Rainbow Caterpillar) mine in the Harts Range, Northern Territory, Australia.
These were hand-selected in Tucson at the gem show, sourced from Darren Arthur, the man who discovered this material and mines it himself.
It's found alongside Rainbow Lattice sunstone, which was first discovered in 1985 by Darren Arthur and Sonny Mason (deceased). It’s found in a tiny area measuring 500 x 400 meters at the Utnerrengatye (Rainbow Caterpillar) mine in the Harts Range, Northern Territory, Australia. It was identified at the GIA in Spring 1989 and declared as a new gem variety.
