BRACELET CARE INFO

All of my handmade crystal bracelets are made with elastic, but just because they are stretchy doesn't mean they are indestructible!

Beaded stretch bracelets are more delicate than you think: elastic can break/snap without proper care, and the genuine crystal beads can be damaged or dulled over time.

I've sold over 1,600 handmade crystal bracelets since 2021, and I've only had a dozen or so folks report breaks, and it's often when the bracelet gets caught on something.

Please note: even with proper care, elastic can still wear out over time. But here are some tips to keep your handmade crystal intention bracelets safe and shining long-term.

Care Instructions for Handmade Bracelets

Gentle handling

The elastic can snap if handled roughly. Gently roll your bracelet over your hand when putting it on or taking it off, and avoid pulling or stretching too hard.

Know when to remove it: avoid water & self care products, rough activities

Avoid exposure to water (especially saltwater and chlorine), lotions, sprays, soap, and other chemicals because all of these things can wear down the elastic over time or make it more brittle - and this can lead to snapping. Even the oils and sweat on our skin can wear out the elastic over time.

For longevity, it is best to remove your bracelets when bathing, swimming, doing the dishes, etc. These activities can also dull the crystals. If your bracelet gets wet, dry it off immediately to avoid damage.

Avoid getting your bracelet caught on things by removing it before doing activities like playing with kids or dogs, yard work, exercise, etc. You can also wear them on your non-dominant hand to reduce chances of getting caught and snapping.

Store safely

Every handmade intention bracelet ordered on my site or bought at my pop-ups comes with an organic cotton storage pouch so you can safely store your bracelet when not in use. This is because prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause crystals to fade over time. Keep your bracelet out of reach of children and pets, as they can easily snap the elastic.

Clean carefully

Use a soft cloth (like microfiber) to wipe off oils, dust, or dirt. Avoid soap or harsh chemicals, and just use a damp cloth if needed. Allow your crystal bracelet to dry before wearing it again.

By following these care tips, you can keep your crystal intention bracelet in good shape for years to come.
