IMPORTANT: THE GOOGLY EYES ARE REMOVABLE + MOVEABLE! There are photos of this piece without googly eyes included because the googly eyes aren't requisite - they're just for funsies.

Please note: This material naturally has surface imperfections, pitting and vugs, it's just the nature of druzy agate. Some also have natural surface erosion (as can be seen in the photos). Sales are final, so please be sure you want that specific piece and are ok with the natural surface of the raw materials before purchasing.

Druzy Agate

Agate is stabilizing and all about support. Actually cryptocrystalline Quartz, Agate has very mellow and grounding vibes. It can bring a sense of peace when you otherwise feel scattered or overwhelmed. It symbolizes inner strength, inner light/radiance, intuition and balance. Druzy agate is said to enhance creativity and spiritual growth, supporting a strengthening of the spirit.

Agate is actually the banded variety of chalcedony, cryptocrystalline quartz. Natural agate forms in a variety of colors, ranging from white, grey, brown to red, blue, green, and sometimes pink. Any coloring is from inclusions of various minerals (like iron and manganese oxide).

Druzy refers to the tiny crystals that are found in the center of the banding (the opening in the geode).

I commissioned these from my supplier in Brazil, a lapidary who hand carves each piece. They are a company located in Southern Brazil, who sources locally (and even mines some of their material). They adhere tightly to safety, labor and environmental legislation from the rough material to the final product; and annually take part in the Conflict Mineral Survey (from the Responsible Minerals Initiative), which addresses responsible mineral sourcing practices. They support a number of small businesses and families in their business and short supply chain.

AVOID WATER & SELF CARE PRODUCTS

Avoid exposure to water (especially saltwater and chlorine), lotions, sprays, soap, etc because they can damage the elastic over time - and this can lead to snapping. Even the oils and sweat on our skin can wear out the elastic eventually.

Remove your bracelet when bathing, swimming, doing the dishes, etc. These activities can also dull the crystals.

STORAGE + CLEANING

Every bracelet comes with an organic cotton pouch for safe storage when not in use. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause crystals to fade over time. Keep your bracelet out of reach of children and pets, as they can easily snap the elastic.

Use a soft cloth (like microfiber) to wipe off oils, dust, or dirt. Avoid soap or harsh chemicals, and just use a damp cloth if needed. Allow your crystal bracelet to dry before wearing it again.

REMOVE BEFORE ROUGH ACTIVITIES

Avoid getting your bracelet caught on things by removing it before doing activities like playing with kids or dogs, yard work, exercise, etc. You can also wear them on your non-dominant hand to reduce chances of getting caught and snapping.

GENTLE HANDLING

The elastic can snap if handled roughly. Gently roll your bracelet over your hand when putting it on or taking it off, and avoid pulling or stretching too hard.
